One of my favorite things to do is sit in the park and relax and watch the beauty of the lake. Plan some time to sit in the park on your next visit to Skaneateles. There are dozens of unique shops in the Village. Imagine has beautiful jewelry and art from local artisans. Imagine is located at 38 E Genesee St on the lake side of the main street. 315-685-6263. The Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce provides docks for the public's use as well as the Skaneateles Antique and Classic Boat Show. Seasonal dock passes are available for $100 by calling the Chamber at 315-685-0552. There is plenty of room at the Inn for your boat and trailer. The Community Docks give you access to the village from dawn til dusk. Website
Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge provides over 9,000 acres of protected wetlands for wildlife. Come see the conservation efforts of volunteers and wildlife specialists. There is access to miles of hiking trails with multiple observation towers. A visitor center open to the public from Spring to Fall. Within the visitor center, you will also find The Lodge Nature Store for purchasing gifts and keepsakes from the visit. Website
Green Lakes State Park has two distinguishing features the two glacial lakes surrounded by upland forest. Also in the Green Lakes State Park is an eighteen-hole golf course. During winter months snowshoeing and cross-country skiers can take advantage of the fifteen miles of trails. Website
