Things to do near Auburn & Skaneateles, NY THIS PAGE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Skaneateles Lake is a popular Finger Lakes in New York. It's clean, clear blue water makes it a popular destination for recreational boating and fishing. Unwind and explore this quaint historic region and town. The name Skaneateles means long lake in one of the local Iroquoian languages. At times referred to as "The Roof Garden of the Lakes" because of its higher altitude compared to the other Finger Lakes.
One of my favorite things to do is sit in the park and relax and watch the beauty of the lake. Plan some time to sit in the park on your next visit to Skaneateles. There are dozens of unique shops in the Village. Imagine has beautiful jewelry and art from local artisans. Imagine is located at 38 E Genesee St on the lake side of the main street. 315-685-6263. The Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce provides docks for the public's use as well as the Skaneateles Antique and Classic Boat Show. Seasonal dock passes are available for $100 by calling the Chamber at 315-685-0552. There is plenty of room at the Inn for your boat and trailer. The Community Docks give you access to the village from dawn til dusk.
